Welcome to Leeds Durgapuja & Diwali Association!

Leeds Durgapuja & Diwali Association means more to us than just a religious festival - it is a celebration of our culture and traditions. It is a time for families to reunite and an ideal platform for our children to know their own cultural heritage.

This group is a joyful union of all who want to celebrate “Sharodotsab” , the Hindu festivity of Durga Puja, Lakshmi Puja, Kali Puja and Saraswati Puja. An alliance of people from various walks of life amongst the Hindu community of West Yorkshire region.

More than a quarter of a century ago, the first Durga Puja was held at the Leeds Hindu temple with an active participation of eight enthusiastic families. I would like to thank those families who have worked relentlessly over the years for keeping our culture and tradition alive. During the past few years, Durga Puja celebrations in Leeds has brought us enormous joy and a sense of togetherness. I would like to congratulate all our members and volunteers, who have shown great unity and given selfless service to make our Puja a grand success year on year!

I would also like extend my sincere gratitude to all our sponsors for their kind support and generous help. Look forward to your continued support in the future.

Let us all come together and celebrate the arrival of Maa Durga with great spirit and unity once again!!

I look forward to welcoming you all.
